Containers

As of 15 cubic meters (m3) of household effects, it may be more cost effective to hire a full container.
The most common size is a 20ft container with an absolute loading space of ±33 m3, however expect to effectively load around 20m3. Also 40ft containers are available, which are twice the size of a 20ft container.

In case the destination address falls within the delivery program of the Shipping Line, the transport can be on door-to-door basis. This includes customs clearance, at the origin (the Netherlands) as well as at destination. For security purposes you can lock the container, preferably with a disc-lock and keep the key. In case Customs needs to inspect the goods, you will be requested to provide the key.

Once you have made a booking, we will be pleased to give advice on how to load/stow the container.

The following conditions are applicable:

1. Both the addresses of loading and destination must be accessible for a big truck and sufficient space must be available to park the container for a limited period of time without disturbing other traffic.
2. The free loading time is two hours, after which €50 will be charged for each additional hour; the container will stay on the truck chassis, about 1.5 meter above ground level. You can request to offload the whole container on ground for a pick up a few days later; this will cost extra.
3. You are responsible for loading/stowing the container and counting the number the pieces; this must be indicated on the packing list of which we will need a copy before the container is collected from the loading address.
4. Through WBS you can hire a loading team:
   3 men à euro 30.00 per hour - positioning charges ca euro 50,00.
   - 20ft container loading time ca 3- 6 hrs
   - 40ft container loading time ca 7-10 hrs (4 men)

   Note: as sender, you will be responsible for the loading; a Tranport Insurance is required!
5. At destination you are responsible for offloading the container.
6. The clearing agent at destination will arrange all customs formalities. However, you are responsible for providing all necessary documentation and (import) licenses if required. We ask prior to shipping what kind of documents are needed. Local duty/tax is not part of our quotation.
7. In case you wish to insure your goods for transport, be advised that insurance does not cover damage due to ill-loading or badly packed items.

Quotations
For a quotation we need the following information:

1. port + country of destination
2. postal code loading address
3. choice for a 20ft or 40ft container
4. a. container on truck, loading within 2 hours , ór
   b. offload the container and pick up several days later
5. postal code of the address abroad (it is not always possible to leave the container several days on ground)
6. indication of the loading date. Note that quotations are valid for 1 month!
